Participants in this year’s Vineyard Race will have access to exclusive weather forecasts thanks to a partnership with Weather Routing.
All boats entered in the race will be able to access forecasts for the entire course from Aug. 30 to Sept. 2.
“We’re always looking for ways to improve the Vineyard Race and this is just another way to make the experience that much better,” said Diane McKeever, Vineyard chairman.
Skippers will be sent instructions on how to set up their own accounts and access the forecasts throughout the race. Weather Routing will also create a pre-race forecast that will be available at the Aug. 30 skippers’ meeting at Stamford Yacht Club.
The forecasts will be available through the companies Sea Weather service.
