Entry list up to 75 boats

As of this morning we have 75 boats signed up for next week’s Vineyard Race, an appropriate number considering that this will be the 75th running of this long-distance classic. This marks a nearly 50 percent increase in entries over previous years.

Still, we know there are others of you out there who are thinking about racing but haven’t yet entered. If all the pre- and post-race events aren’t enough to convince you to sign up, the Vineyard Committee has decided to waive the late fee for entries. It’s our way of trying to encourage everyone to participate and enjoy this year’s race.

If you want to enter, you can do it online:

You will also find yourself in good company. See who else will be at the starting line next Friday off Bell 32:

This year’s race is presented by Thomson Reuters. And they are helping us put on the Vineyard Island party Sunday night on the lawn of Stamford Yacht Club starting at 1800.
