Nice profile of one of the Vineyard’s youngest skippers

gtarticleThe Greenwich Time just posted a nice feature on Victor Ansart, the 17-year-old who is skippering Wave Dancer in the doublehanded division. We don’t know if he’s the youngest skipper ever to do this race but he has to be close. Click here.

Says his dad, who is also his crew: “It’s an experience we have always had together — to work together as a two-man team,” he said. “He was driving the boat when he was 12, and he grew up over time. Now, I think it’s a good experience to be able to handle it himself. He’s capable to make his own decisions.”
