Update from Fin II

So it has been a lot more challenging to blog duringthe race than I expected… Some heavy seas combined wiwith not having a signal has kept me a bit quiet so far. We are in Block Island Sound on the way back after a rigorous day on the water. We had 23 knots of breeze and 4 foot waves (and the occasional set of 8 footers) in Vineyard Sound/the ocean. Got pretty wet and ALOT of time on the rail today getting splashed. And a sail change in the middle for good measure! I put in a few hours on the helm in those conditions which was extremely tiring and challenging. Really amazing and the most difficult seas i have helmed in. Night has just descended and it will probably be a long one… At least until we make LI Sound. Signin off for now… Keep Feelin’ Knotty!
